AISSEE (All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination)

The All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) is the entrance route for admission to Class VI and Class IX in participating Sainik Schools. The National Testing Agency conducts the examination for the Sainik Schools Society.

What parents should check

• Confirm the class, age eligibility and any date-of-birth conditions in the notification for the exact academic year.
• Read the current information bulletin for the application window, fee, exam pattern, documents and correction-window rules.
• After results, follow the official counselling and medical-fitness instructions; qualifying the written test does not itself guarantee admission.

For the 2026–27 cycle, NTA’s official page lists results and counselling-related updates. Do not use last year’s dates or eligibility conditions for a new cycle.
